This is who we are...
Bastian Coffee Roasters is a Washington, DC-based coffee project. We think coffee should taste good and be sourced in a way that doesn't make you feel weird if you actually think about the way it's produced. So we look for coffees we can trace, work with people who are paid more fairly, and pay attention to the way coffee has been consumed.
We're based in DC, which kind of explains why we care so much about doing what's good. Coffee is our way to fight for a better tomorrow.
We source with intention, roast to bring out unique flavors, and keep things transparent about what's in your bag. Coffee that keeps its story intact, from the people growing it to the cup in your hand. Turns out, that's not how most coffee works.
We think it should be.
